About City Girl Bees

At City Girl Bees, our passion for pollinators is deeply personal.

It began in the early 1990s, when my dad started beekeeping as a hobby. Some of my favorite memories are of watching him work the hives—moving with calm focus, surrounded by the steady hum of bees—and the unmistakable smell of fresh honey in the air. What started as his curiosity grew into a deep respect for the essential role bees play in our ecosystem.

After he passed away in 2008, that passion stayed with me. In 2014, I decided to carry it forward—founding City Girl Bees as a way to honor his legacy while creating something meaningful of my own.

Today, City Girl Bees is rooted in that connection: a love for bees, a respect for nature, and a commitment to sharing both with others. Our mission is to promote sustainable beekeeping practices and educate our community about the vital role pollinators play in our environment and food supply.

We believe that small actions can create lasting impact—and that by working together, we can help protect these essential species for generations to come.
